Rural writer exploring Materialism through Fantasy, Romantasy, Horror, and Tragedy.

Working on First Novel:

"I See You, Warchief" - steamy 18+ Orc/Human romance novel. Class strife, interspecies intimacy, choosing authenticity over performance.
Tristan & Mara:
He loves her determination. She may be shy, but she will be there for him. When he reveals his darkness, she strives to see the light at the heart of it.
She loves he doesn't judge her, doesn't hold her to impossible culture expectations. He gives her space to be herself.

I go as far as the characters need it to go. They are ths drivers of the erotic story, their kinks explore and expose their characters.

So as far as it needs to go. No more, no less.

That sounds wonderful! Thank you, when the prose is reader for a reader outside myself you are the first I will reach out to!

That sounds like an idea I will have to try!

Thank you!

Interesting. I am still so early into my writing journey that I love doing first drafts are still a thrill. Editing, as evident in some of my posts, is my main bugaboo.

I will have to try your structure. Thank you

An economically subservient character playfully tapping his employer/master on her nose. The taboo broken by that one touch opens a flood gate of passion and desire.

One boop brings the whole social construct down and leaves them tangled and sweaty.

Human, Dwarf, Elf, Goblin. All noses to boop.

This one is super easy for me, established relationships every time, every day.

Characters who know each other and are comfortable with each other can flow and move like no other.

I understand the love of a first meet, but I feel it never trumps the love of experience.

I love the inversion of role expectations.

The human being the dangerous and protective monster, the non-human [Orc is my go to] strong but still needing protecting.

They both give each other what the other needs without either being a victim.

That is gorgeous! I will have to reach out to them for some character pieces after holiday spending settles.

Need to support artists.

I overcame this struggle by focusing on the characters.

By making the experiences and the pleasures of the character the main point, and often viewing them through a less of empathy, I made my writing about giving them the ability to feel pleasure.

It is weird, but viewing them as People helped.

All of the above.

Any one of the three missing feels like leaving a crucial ingredient out of a bread recipie.

The build up, the act, and the aftercare are needed to make a satisfying scene; just like flour, water, yeast, and sugar are needed for a good loaf.

Fellow Medium Burn enjoyer! I agree, the intimate moments need build up.

100% agreed! You are not left dying in a desert, but not drowning in a tsunami.

I personally prefer the hidden third option, Medium Burn.

The spark comes fast, they have fast feelings, they date withjn the opening chapters. All while building towards intimacy as they overcome different plot events.

Then when they are intimate much later it is beautiful, earnest, earned.

It was a well deserved win and I am genuinely glad you achieved such well earned result!

Awesome work!

Tristan adores Mara's large, strong orcish body, because he doesn't have to worry about hurting her.

Mara loves Tristan for the human kindness and safety his large heart provides her. Letting her be soft Princess being a Warchief never allows.

Hahaha, I like the idea of ideas being unprocessed cheese curds better. What made it to the paper might have been the words you were thinking.
