I’ve used Tauri for a bunch of different stuff, and honestly, the existing API is enough for most web app types out there. It’s lightweight, and you can build for all the major OS platforms. Of course, if you want to dive deeper into the Rust/Tauri side, you’ll need to know Rust to some extent.

If the trademark gets canceled, we might see more javascript offshoots legally using "JS" or "JavaScript" in their names (without worrying that Oracle will take the credit), rather than opting for distinct names like "TypeScript." I'm not a lawyer, but that's my understanding. :D
