there's no way to cleanly wrap up the end of madagascar in a video game segment, so they just have you jump into a whirlpool in the middle of the jungle that leads to some kind of fossa nightmare realm so you can fight a big buff one they made up to be the final boss

it's portrayed like a hostile alien planet with massive carnivorous bugs everywhere. half the environments are vertical caves with huge noki bay corals growing on the walls. they added an entirely new segment where melman the giraffe has to wipe out a race of giant worms and their pulsating nests
