The airports you mentioned already are all served via Denver now on United. Chicago would just be an expansion/extension of it.

Contract goes up for CGI soon and PAH following, both want to rid of Contour which means no Spirit

Correct! They’ve seen Great Lakes, Air Illinois and some others but nothing non stop to Chicago.

MWA saw their highest loads in decades, 12,800 enplaned or about 24K round trip…Chicago is working! So many SIU folks and other business take the Chicago flight from MWA!

I work for United so selfishly I want SkyWest so I can fly for free back to my hometown! Right now I fly Contour into MWA as I’m from Carbondale.

In the next proposal bid for PAH which is coming out soon, I’m sure Chicago will be part of it. Paducah wants Chicago back in the next EAS bid.

I am curious between CGI, MWA and PAH what the top 3 cities are as they are all within an hour drive triangle

Have to imagine for MWA it would be Chicago and maybe something West, LAX or DEN! And this doesn’t account for pax connecting to WN on separate tickets.

Before CGI switched from BNA to ORD, they were also driving to MWA (Marion) an hour drive away to take the Chicago flights as well!

They are just lucky to have Pre Check hahaha
