I think we all know why, but the reality is that, due to economic policies enacted by his party over the past 50 years, what's become of the American dream isn't all that attractive to folks from countries Miller might deem more preferable as a source of migrants.

MGP = a disappointment from the start. I initially gave her a pass for some of the votes because I assumed she felt the need to appear centrist, as her district is pretty purple, but as things have gotten worse in the country, she has continually failed to do what's right. The blood is on her hands.

MGP has been a terrific letdown, and regularly voted on the wrong side of things. I'll support anyone who primaries her from the left.

She has been such a disappointment.

I thought these fuckers were the ones constantly bitching about the very notion of participation trophies. And yet . . .

Not "probably."

For real. I often get mildly confused reactions when I say that the only job, THE ONLY JOB, of a government is to make life better, easier, safer, and more enjoyable on the whole for the governed. Instead, we have a bunch of assholes vying for ways to control shit, but not to make it better.

Who knew that deporting 33% of your total population would bring about tsunamis? Crazy!

Much like Liz Cheney. Every time I saw dems hauling her out on the campaign trail, I couldn't get past her "D's want to turn maternity wards into killing fields" comment from not long before Jan. 6th. These people brought us to where we are. Sure, enemy of my enemy and all, but not really friend.

Asking for a friend . . .

Seriously, fuck every last one of these degenerates. Good riddance.

I would think that the name of the venue/organization and the associated reputation would be a material term in any contract for an artist's performance.

He's not a US citizen, so by definition, yes. The only surprising thing is that he's a foreigner from the northern parts, which we generally favor, so . . . ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
December 25, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Bro, seriously? Whether you agree with Medicare for all or not, the idea that private insurers are in some way valuable and essential to a functioning healthcare system is just . . . super out of touch. They bring nothing to the table. They do nothing to make care better or more affordable. Nothing.
December 25, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Because literally EVERYTHING about America is infused with this idea of getting every last dollar possible out of every single transaction. This country is nothing but a constant stream of being ripped off. On top of everything else, THIS is the cherry.
December 19, 2025 at 6:32 PM
Yeah . . . no. Just, no.

This ain't it.

My kingdom for a reporter who will respond to him in kind one day. She'll lose her job in the process, but gain a ton of credibility & fame with which to leverage a future. What good is access anyway when the only point is to spread lies and nastiness?

I never liked expanding it to more than 8. No team finishing 9 and below ever had a legitimate claim to the title of nat'l champ. Plus, each of 1-4 last year lost their games; the bye week for them is unnecessary & problematic, as they go up against teams who just had a tune-up game 10 days prior.
December 7, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Not for nothing, but a Supreme Court of 27 (or 100, for that matter), with panels drawn at random for every case, would basically eliminate the fucking nonsense we're inundated with every time a vacancy for 1 of 9 spots is filled. That alone is reason to nuke the current structure.

He and many in his administration are straight out of a Coen brothers movie, I swear.

It's an absolute messaging failure for D's to contribute to the notion that there's nothing wrong with a system that allows individuals to accumulate such obscene wealth. No one has EVER earned a billion dollars, let alone multiple billions.

What's hilarious is that even an Ai-generated image of him has the orange toner turned up to 11 and poorly blended.

If he truly cared, he'd order them released. He doesn't need an act of Congress, let alone one that will be worded in such a way that will allow them to withhold particularly damaging info (e.g., "legally entitled," or "pertinent info.").
