MGP = a disappointment from the start. I initially gave her a pass for some of the votes because I assumed she felt the need to appear centrist, as her district is pretty purple, but as things have gotten worse in the country, she has continually failed to do what's right. The blood is on her hands.

For real. I often get mildly confused reactions when I say that the only job, THE ONLY JOB, of a government is to make life better, easier, safer, and more enjoyable on the whole for the governed. Instead, we have a bunch of assholes vying for ways to control shit, but not to make it better.

Much like Liz Cheney. Every time I saw dems hauling her out on the campaign trail, I couldn't get past her "D's want to turn maternity wards into killing fields" comment from not long before Jan. 6th. These people brought us to where we are. Sure, enemy of my enemy and all, but not really friend.

I would think that the name of the venue/organization and the associated reputation would be a material term in any contract for an artist's performance.

Whether you agree with Medicare for all or not, the idea that private insurers are in some way valuable and essential to a functioning healthcare system is just . . . super out of touch. They bring nothing to the table. They do nothing to make care better or more affordable. Nothing.

I never liked expanding it to more than 8. No team finishing 9 and below ever had a legitimate claim to the title of nat'l champ. Plus, each of 1-4 last year lost their games; the bye week for them is unnecessary & problematic, as they go up against teams who just had a tune-up game 10 days prior.

Not for nothing, but a Supreme Court of 27 (or 100, for that matter), with panels drawn at random for every case, would basically eliminate the fucking nonsense we're inundated with every time a vacancy for 1 of 9 spots is filled. That alone is reason to nuke the current structure.

It's an absolute messaging failure for D's to contribute to the notion that there's nothing wrong with a system that allows individuals to accumulate such obscene wealth. No one has EVER earned a billion dollars, let alone multiple billions.

If he truly cared, he'd order them released. He doesn't need an act of Congress, let alone one that will be worded in such a way that will allow them to withhold particularly damaging info (e.g., "legally entitled," or "pertinent info.").
