Repeatedly arrested since 2019 for his poetry and activism, Mohamed was sentenced in January 2025 to one year in prison on politically motivated charges. ARC calls for his immediate and unconditional release and for all charges linked to his peaceful expression to be dropped.

Bart, a Burmese visual artist, rose to prominence for his viral series Seeing Red, capturing live reactions to Myanmar’s Spring Revolution. By day, he joined protesters; by night, he drew and painted. Today, he continues his socially-engaged creative work in exile.
