I'd be interested to see exactly what the orientation is to see where the center of thrust will be. Sounds like it would put a more nose down force if I'm visualizing it correctly.

Pratt and Whitney are solid engines. It all depends on how high the engines will be from the ground.

Oh well in that case they should be fine as long as they can keep the airframe a comparable size. Gates are built for a specific size of airframe so as long as they have about the same footprint they should be good if the FAA signs off on airworthiness.

I'm no structural engineer but it looks like they're trying to revive supersonic flight or hit at least transonic speeds. Current aviation needs aren't built around the infrastructure needed for that kind of airframe. If it can't use the dominant runways and facilities it's not gonna work.
