Quicksilver is the brother of Scarlet Witch. For years, the siblings believed they were the children of a Romany couple, Django and Marya Maximoff. However, later storylines revealed Magneto as their true father.

Killer Croc, created by Gerry Conway, Don Newton and Gene Colan, was introduced in Detective Comics #523 (February 1983). He has become one of Batman’s most enduring enemies and was prominently featured in the “Hush” storyline.

Popeye, created by Elzie Segar, first appeared in 1929 in the comic strip Thimble Theater. The one-eyed sailor quickly became the suitor of Thimble Theatre star Olive Oyl, and Segar introduced new characters such as adopted son Swee'Pea and foes like the Sea Hag and Bluto.

The Negative Zone, a parallel antimatter universe, first appeared in Fantastic Four #51. It is a dangerous dimension composed entirely of antimatter, where matter from the normal universe would be instantly annihilated without a change in molecular polarity.

Man-Bat was created by Frank Robbins and Neal Adams in collaboration with editor Julius Schwartz. He first appeared in Detective Comics #400 (June 1970) as an enemy of Batman, but later incarnations show Man-Bat as a sympathetic villain or antihero.

Little Lulu, created by Marjorie Henderson Buell, was introduced in The Saturday Evening Post on February 23, 1935, in a single panel, appearing as a flower girl at a wedding and mischievously strewing the aisle with banana peels.

Darwyn Cooke (1962 – 2016) was a Canadian cartoonist who worked on Catwoman, DC: The New Frontier, and The Spirit. Upon Cooke's passing, DC described Cooke as "one of our medium's true innovators," comparing his "bold, direct style" with Joe Kubert, Alex Toth, and Jack Kirby.
