Exactly. The same thing happened in the 1980's farm crisis. So many family farms went under, bringing down with them businesses & factories in the neighboring towns. Big Agra swooped in and bought the farms for pennies on the dollar, industrialized them, & brutalized the environment.

This. He straight up said he'd do this. When I talked to people pre-election, many just blew it off and said he was just rambling as usual & not to take it seriously. They supported his arrogance and chest beating, his America First posturing.
