Built as a civilian DC-10, this plane was bought by the Royal Netherlands Air Force and converted to an aerial tanker. In 2019 the RNAF switched to Airbus A330s and sold two of these tankers to Omega Aerial Refueling Services Inc, which provides refueling services for military customers.

T-10M (or IS-8) heavy tank at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv.
The tank has changed locations since I first saw it in 2019. It has since been repositioned so that the gun is aimed toward the front, toward russian invaders.

Again, it was removed. In an act of unhinged, admirable defiance and stark determinism, the sloth reappeared, now a whopping 8 ft tall and installed 220 feet up a tree, with solar-powered lights to provide nighttime illumination. More stuff like this in the world, please.

Maybe they have several other sites that feed into that statistic? I mean, its not unheard of for a bitcoin company to lie? I was all over the site, no sign of life or anything to indicate any sort of operational data center. Super weird. These plans always wind up as vanity projrcts/scams it seems.

And usually filled with water. The cost of remediation would be pretty close as just standing up your own prefabbed concerete building. These always come across as vanity projects by the "more money than sense" crowds. Who tf in their right mind would put a server farm in here?

The site was for sale when I was there in July. Also the original CEO who bought the site had a criminal record involving drugs, and ties to a possible murder investigation and has since resigned. Ive yet to hear of "cool plans to repurpose an ex missile site" that ever really pan out.

Is it actually though? I was there in July 2025 and there was absolutely no activity and there were For Sale signs up. Also the CEO of BitZero who originally had plans for the site was tied to a murder investigation and has since resigned.
