I’d be more sympathetic if it didn’t come from a paper who refused for the 1st time ever to make an editorial pick.
Also, it shouldn’t be behind a paywall.

I’d totally buy it if the bones are good in the right neighborhood. However much to your disdain, the garish Colors would go.
However the funky stove/ whatisthat and original wooodwork would stay (re-stained)

(As a Canadian) “No taxation without representation” is a bigger part of the American DNA than I thought. Right/wrong Americans were happy to see the government agencies destroyed.
Something I knew is that electors vote “for” something. Being “better” doesn’t win in elections (nor in marketing)
