Couple of hours wait were rewarded when the female Smew swam into view at Llangorse Lake, just before dusk. Also present were six Scaup, similar number of Goldeneye and Goosander, a Barnacle Goose plus both Cetti’s Warbler and Water Rail showing in front of the hide. #birdingWales #UKWildlife #birds

Incredible scenes over Wigtown Sands this morning as the rising tide forced thousands upon thousands of birds to move. Starlings in particular were immense both in numbers and sound. #birdingScotland #UKWildlife #birds #nature #wildlife @dgbirdnews.bsky.social
