It’s actually amusing to see their willful ignorance in real time. Gone ask me what I was doing like I’m not a living protest. Girl go to hell 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank ya! And with that —- WE REST.

So weird lol. And if she was such an ally she would know the 92% are resting for the next 4 years. We’ve marched and protested enough chile.

To my sisters, you are not a machine. You are allowed to get tired. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to take care of yourself without apology.

Drop the guilt. Pick up the care. You deserve it.

When Black women rest, we disrupt the narrative that we exist to serve others. Rest is resistance. Self-care is reclaiming our humanity.

Let’s be clear: Rest is not a reward—it’s a requirement. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Taking care of yourself is not abandoning others; it’s ensuring you have the energy to show up as your best self.

Self-care feels foreign or "selfish" because we're conditioned to put everyone else first. When we finally do something for us, guilt creeps in, whispering, “You’re letting someone down.”
January 7, 2025 at 1:14 AM
This narrative is harmful. It teaches us that needing help is weakness. That resting means we're lazy. But the truth? This belief is rooted in systemic exploitation and dehumanization of Black women.

The "strong Black woman" trope pressures us to bear the weight of the world. It says our worth is tied to how much we sacrifice for others. Rest? Self-care? Those are often seen as luxuries, not necessities.

But let’s talk about this. 🧵
January 7, 2025 at 1:12 AM
For Black women, self-care often comes with a side of guilt. Why? Because society has long glorified the "strong Black woman" narrative, portraying us as superhuman—always capable, always giving, never tired.

No seriously. It’s above me now gone head
