Everyone is not good at teaching. Especially when it comes to film stuff. They think they are, but it really is an art to sharing knowledge in a way that make sense and can stick.

A lot of choreography lacks soul nowadays because dancers are so focused on hitting every beat. It’s suffocating the song. There is no texture. Just straight attack. Let it breath, give us a groove here and there.
