In March 2024, Deb Manley, a volunteer in Big Bend National Park, Texas, uploaded photos of a small, low-lying plant covered in silvery fuzz to the species identification app iNaturalist. Not only was this the first recorded sighting on the app, it was the first sighting, period: buff.ly/h5dDfgt

Thorncrown Chapel, a beautiful glass church in the Ozark Mountains, is ethereal enough to appear built by elves. The nave stands 48 ft. tall and looks as though it has no walls. However, it's actually enclosed by 425 separate windows covering over 6000 sq ft. of glass: buff.ly/jabBZDP

All of this fruit came from the same tree, which has been aptly named Tree of 40 Fruit.

Tan Teng Niah is one of the most colorful houses in Singapore, and the only remaining example of its kind. Every element—each individual slat, molding, panel, and pilaster—is painted in a different hue than its neighbor. ⁠
