Also, when it comes to responding to corporate emails, I don't care about AI usage, that's not a creative endeavor

Are Em Dashes Really a Sign of AI Writing?
Viral posts and clips on social media suggest the em dash is the product of AI chatbots, with some calling the punctuation mark a 'ChatGPT hyphen.'

It's how well your book resonates with readers. While the other things matter and matter for a technically or mechanically great story, it has to resonate with readers.

I think about that advice a lot, especially as I obsess and revise my books seeking perfection. I sometimes wonder if material I updated would have been better left alone. Would readers like the older writing better even when I didn't? Am I too close to see it for what it is?

The book in question was Silver Silence by Nalini Singh. It's... well it's not my typical read. In fact, it came from my wife’s bookshelf (of the few books we have yet to collect from her parent's house).

She knows how much i enjoy books, so while at my MIL's house a week ago, she "discovered" the perfect gift for me... It was a book! A RED book, because it looked more interesting than the "blue" book (which I admit, I'm now curious to know what the other option was in this Matrix pill game)
