On 19 June 2025, the High Court of #Malawi recognised police brutality against a child as torture. While SALC welcomes this ruling, we continue to call for the full criminalisation of torture in line with international obligations. @atillakisla.bsky.social

My latest piece on the ICJ case of Sudan v UAE and why it matters to SA: Actions (of arms exports) say more than words. If SA wants to be taken seriously as a country advocating for human rights, it must change its arms exports practice drastically!
