We are learning that we can create pictures in our minds as we read or listen to stories. During Shared Reading, the learners listened to the poem Spring and created art pieces to represent their ideas. So proud of the Kindies!

A recent cooking experience has been a spark for the Kindies at Rivercrest! Ss have created wonderful recipes in the indoor and outdoor classroom, from pepper soup to cupcakes and ice cream! I'm especially proud of my little writers who have been publishing mini recipe books! @tdsb.on.ca

This shared reading text became a great spark as we have engaged in an inquiry around ways people say hello. The learners have been so proud to say hello in the languages they speak at home. We are also grateful to the many visitors who have shared many ways to say hello!
