Peer review can be painfully slow - taking months or even years to get papers published. When you have a paper that challenges an existing paradigm, or brings other disciplines to bear on a problem, peer review often fails.

Even if I spent the rest of my career trying to publish what I’ve written in these notebooks, there’s no way I’d get through all of them.
