The tariff is paid by the importer to the US Treasury. The importer passes the cost of the tariff to the retailer, who must also raise prices to stay in business. You, the consumer, pays the tariff. It's that simple.

It is the GOP controlled House and Senate that rubber-stamped these dunces. Will they come to their senses, or are they all too frightened of retribution against them and their families? Or, god forbid, are they in agreement with the destruction of every facet of government?
