I think any merger with Warner Bros. Discovery is gonna have to take into account assets the buyers do or do not want.
No one wants to nab the Discovery Global Media side with the Warner Bros. side.
Unless your name is David Ellison, but even then that’s only for CNN, TNT Sports, TCM to an extent.

I can see this definitely happening. CN’s shows have already gotten Warner copyrights, the network no longer even owns its shows.

Didn’t hear the News a while back? Creative control of TCM is staying with WB. It’s just actual operations that are moving to Discovery.

this does not affect IP, as the IP and Studios of those former Turner Broadcasting channels (TNT IP, CNS, Williams Street) will be staying with Warner Bros.
Creative control of TCM will be staying with WB also, though actual operations of the channel is going with Discovery.
