apparently, based on this PSU tier list I found, the exact EVGA PSU model I had that blew up has a high return rate to due capacitor cracks. wish I knew this a year ago and saved myself the trouble 😅🙃

(the corsair PSU I picked up has really good rating, thankfully)
High RMA rate due to MLCC cracks, similar to other HEC-built EVGA PSUs. Showed up on B-Stock in huge quantitiues for dirt chearp c. 2022
