Here's my take: It's very sus that he got that tattoo, but knowing average Americans, I can also believe that Platner and everyone who saw his tattoo didn't realise what it was.
So we should be critical and look for any other evidence, and then we can make an overall judgement.

If you're saying tech workers should unionise so they can take collective action like this, I agree. But it's not a tech problem, it's a capitalism problem, and it won't be fixed until capitalism ends.

Following on from the logic of my previous point, those who have unfavorable views of Trump (like liberals and progressives) are less likely to identify with being a "true American patriot". I'm just saying that the poll doesn't actually answer the "who supports political violence" question.

My point is that Trump supporters and Christian nationalists are more likely to identify with the concept of being a "true American patriot". If the statement was just about political violence, it would've been fine, but it also would've been a completely different statement.

And even then, most people with favorable views of Trump disagreed with the statement. Even if it's convenient, it's bad for us if we start misrepresenting facts and statistics.

Sorry, but this poll doesn't actually say anything about which side is more supportive of political violence. While the inference you're making is probably true, the statement was about "true American patriots" resorting to violence. It may as well be asking "do you support Trump?".

People like to think anyone could be a billionaire if they worked hard/smart enough, and they often use Bezos as an example. These people rarely acknowledge that most people don't have parents with a quarter million to spare.

Actually, let me clarify further. Israel has been in the process of killing or displacing every Palestinian civilian in the West Bank and Gaza. It's not a fantasy, it's reality.

I don't think you're looking at the reality of the situation. Israel wants to kill or displace every Palestinian civilian in Gaza and the West Bank. We have to be talking about something more concrete than a "2 state solution" when this is the reality in front of our eyes.

It was better than it is under Trump 2, but inflation and cost of living was bad enough that most people were feeling the impact and weren't happy. Biden didn't really do enough to address that.

Its founding as a settler colonial project with the end goal of becoming an ethnostate is the problem here. I see two solutions to the problem - either a similar agreement to the Good Friday Agreement in Ireland (equal rights, free movement, etc) or a one state solution with equal rights.
