I finished this one on the plane yesterday. It was good! It's a fantasy/horror/alternate history story steeped in Black folklore and feminine power. It came up in a list of recommended books someplace, so I put a hold on it at the library. I'm glad it came up in my queue just in time for my trip!

His beast mode (or dragon mode or whatever) is not nearly as successful as the other two modes. I do like the weird factor, though. :3

Onyx Prime (aka "the furry one") arrived yesterday! Eee, very excited to get some time playing with this guy. I think I'll end up displaying him in centaur mode.
Next goal: get him posed 'rearing' and holding someone by an ankle or something.

This was fun! A sort of regency romance/fantasy with a dash of horror. Lots of buildup with most of the action happening in the last 1/4, but still enjoyable.
