Bring in costume daily was a joy even with 7 layers on during a NC summer! Any time I get to go back and visit is a balm for my soul… a place I can breathe deeply and feel God still moving.

In addition to this being a historical site for the Moravian Church, it’s also where I worked in costume for summers during high school and college. It was truly the most fun, creative, and enjoyable job, and I learned a ton in the process too! (2/5)

In that role, a very small portion of it includes visits to the NC Legislature to talk with legislators or speak up for equitable educational opportunities for children. Here I am at a press conference on 11/19 during my most recent visit. (Thanks to @eja_nc for the photo!) 2/4
