Feels surreal to say but as of Friday I am now Dr. Karagoz. This wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful mentorship, kindness, and patience of @zreagh.bsky.social and @wouterkool.bsky.social.

As someone who never had a strong formal math background, I've been enjoying this book lately. The author pitches it as something between a pop-sci book and a textbook. I'm only about 100 pages in, but thought I should share. After finishing this, I might give Spivak's textbook another go!
