This will not happen. The geriatric politicians with bad policies will be replaced with young politicians with bad policies, because regressive politics and a lack of domain knowledge is not confined to a single generation

I think it mostly boils down to the fact that NYC is deep blue, so the actual election is something of a foregone conclusion. Republicans are wildly unpopular, as is Adams (who is running as an independent)
