Well, Minnesota Vikings beat the NY Giants, so hurrah for that, but that might have been the worst quality game I can remember watching. It's main redeeming feature was that it didn't go to overtime, so we were spared any more of it.

Congratulations Karen Carnery and Carlos Gu on winning Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Well deserved. Not being a football fan, I had no idea who she was before the start of the series, but she quickly became a favourite along with Alec and Johannes.

I feel sorry for the trailfinder loose head: Maud Muir is brutalising her in the scrums in this game.

Bit of a disjointed game though, with Gloucester-Hartpury playing a mostly second string back line and quite a few in the pack too.

But I'm wary of the portrayal of Blonde Blazer and Visi as love interest choices. *Everything* BB says or does seems designed to appeal to male gamers. Not overtly sexualised, but very male-gazey.

A largely second string Gloucester-Hartpury team vs Sale Sharks Women, to help keep the squad healthy through the season and give some of the younger players some match experience. Venner moving to fullback and showing her versatility.

Good win for Gloucester-Hartpury today over Harlequins. Quite a few first choice players on the bench to rotate the squad over the course of the season, and bringing four of them on together in the second half made an immediate and obvious difference in all areas of the game.

Mia Venner having a great first half for Gloucester-Hartpury against Saracens in the final - aside from the Sarries score while Mo Hunt was in the sin-bin. But too many errors from the team as a whole.

Congratulations Gloucester-Hartpury for finishing top of the table again. I'm old fashioned emu enough to think that counts for more than winning the post-season knock-out tournament, but sadly that's very much a minority opinion these days.
