Congrats!

I am so freaking angry about this (among all the other horrendous things). My son helped build Roman for a few weeks of his Goddard internship two years ago. I’m an astronomy prof and NASA Solar System Ambassador, and I’ve been telling people about RST for years. This can’t stand.

That’s exactly what I said when I called my Congresscritters about this today.

And his proposed NASA budget slashes science including the possible cancellation of the on-time, on-budget, and almost completely constructed Roman Space Telescope. Why? Is it because it’s the first space telescope to be named for a woman??

My son is a manufacturing engineer for a company that designs & builds things IN THE US, but a machine they might buy to bring more of the process in house is about to get more expensive because it is made in Italy. If the point is to do more manufacturing in the US, making it harder/$$$ is silly.
