I ADORE THESE!! I used to do the same thing w/hand drawn covers for when I was a teenager burning indie music onto CDs in high school. But these are so beautiful and we'll thought out!! I love them!!!

or this early 30min b&w study from 2020 (when i started regularly doing painted studies) to this one i did a few weeks ago which took 15 minutes using literally the same tools. not to mention corrections for my recent studies usually take me 2-3 mins whereas i used to give myself 5-10 minutes lol

like just compare this study from 2021 to this one from october. i may still be bad at art but at least im slightly less bad than before lol

idk if studies "count as art" but honestly i feel like my improvement is most visible through my studies. i draw so much faster and more accurately//my ability to paint in colour has improved so much. like ik doing studies all the time isnt comparable to other artists doing original work all butt
