In this image, there is also a far closer object: a star just 577 light-years away in our own galaxy. Can you spot it?

Just as there are Olympic rings, there are two rings here that make up this galaxy's unique appearance. A galactic collision about 400 million years ago shaped the Cartwheel's structure.
