@jessebrown.bsky.social I enjoy the shows, I’m a supporter, but…

From where I sit, you, as an interviewer, talk/pontificate far too much (like in Today’s show with Lisa Goldman). I’m more interested in what your guests have to say. Maybe have a separate editorial show or segment where you riff?

I'm finally settling into a comfortable routine after 2+ months back east looking after things & being a coach, cheerleader, & caregiver to 2 cats for my mom while she recovered from a fall & hip fracture. Somewhere in there, I started a new job, a progression on the career path. Life's good. ✌️

@astrocalluna.bsky.social: Hey you! Can you drop me a quick email to my gmail account? Your Twitter/X acct is gone and in the craziness of the past 6 weeks I didn't save your new addy to my address book, thinking I'd grab it from the chat. Thanks!

AWESOME hike at Whycocomagh Provincial park (Cape Breton Island). Steep trails, amazing views, and I had the trails completely to myself.

Egypt Falls, Cape Breton Island. The hike down to the falls was easy! The hike up with a backpack full of lenses, a camera, spare batteries, and a tripod...not so much. It's a very photogenic fall.

So, we had a sunset on the west coast of Cape Breton Island. The view opposite the Sun was spectacular

For 3 seasons, I could move back to Cape Breton Island. In a heartbeat.

So, ummm…the iPhone can take decent shots if you treat it like a camera and ensure your white-balance etc. are correct.

The brand-new-in-box monitor I took with me died yesterday, so no images from my camera. Working on a loaner. Oh. I accidentally smashed my polarizing filter yesterday…

If I was a tree, this is what I imagine I’d look like tumbling into the water. Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton Island.

The last thing I tossed in my backpack before the trip was a monitor calibrator. I ran the calibration process this AM on the 24" display I hauled with me, and what a difference. Colours now closely match from monitor to phone to iPad etc.

I stayed up late binge-watching a series. At 5:15, one of my mom’’s cats started climbing all over me wanting to play and get some attention. …for which I’m grateful. The sunrise was pretty good so I jumped out of bed, got dressed, grabbed a camera and had a ball making images down by the wharf.

This field of wildflowers and grasses is the location of my old school where I went for the the 1st through 12th grades. It was a temple of bigotry, bullying, and abuse. I only regret not being the one operating the heavy machinery that tore it down. Returning the land to its natural state is lovely

Alrighty! I'm getting settled at my home for the next 5-6 weeks at the old family home on Cape Breton Island NS. Lots to get done. The Mac and laptop are all set up, camera batteries are charged, and there's a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and Sunday! The cats are my constant shadows.
