Rape is a felony offense. Publishing false (no criminal judgment, first hand knowledge etc) defamatory statements on a public forum claiming someone committed a felony most certainly avails you to a Libel lawsuit. Civil court findings are not admissible as evidence in criminal proceedings.

Another often repeated, and unsupported claim that someone heard from someone, who heard from someone else, and repeated, so now it just has to be true. Nonsense, high school level rumors and lies put forth to harass.

Defended him.. probably because thats what normal people do when there is no verifiable evidence produced of any wrongdoing. To the contrary, a slew of evidence (self-admissions, screenshots, audio recordings) exists of folks admitting to fabricating complete falsehoods concerning this situation.

Repeating unverified information that you heard or read from others is basically just a rumor. Stop spreading rumors.

The person referenced is neither a “problem person” nor a “bad actor” The only things against him are people claiming he did something wrong; people who do not agree with each other on key details, got caught lying under oath and admitted on tape to purposefully trying harassing him archive.is/0Nv3c

Nonsense, that is just information received from other people which cannot be substantiated and now repeated by you.

Unverified information that you heard or read from another person is called a rumor or hearsay, and inadmissible as evidence, regardless of your belief of its veracity.

Repeating unverified information that you heard or read from another person is called a rumor / hearsay regardless of your belief of its veracity. Spreading rumors is not just bad form and juvenile, but may avail you to civil liability, when the rumor falsely accuses someone of crime.
