Astronomy Alert! It appears RW Aurigae has begun to dim in brightness again!!!

One system, TOI-5882, shows significant lithium absorption in its spectra. This is our lowest mass BD in the sample, ~25 MJ. We see a clear bimodality in the stellar solution for this system as well.

There also appears to be a trend towards higher metallicities for the stellar hosts with lower mass companions.

The potential split at 42 MJ does not emerge when looking at the mass ratio of the system (instead of just mass of companion). This trend has dissipated with the addition of new systems and looking at transiting ones only.

"With over 50 transiting brown dwarfs confirmed, we now have a large enough sample to directly test different formation and evolutionary scenarios." ....Can't believe we have 50 already! We see some clear trends in the MvR plot. The vertical line represents the 42 MJ split suggested by Ma & Ge 2014.

For each system, we follow the typical discovery procedure for transiting exoplanets by combining transits from TESS and ground-based observers, RVs, SEDs, and Gaia parallaxes to fit the entire system in EXOFASTv2.

Dear Graduate Programs, Please do not replace the ability to upload a recommendation letter with these prompts. This significantly increases the time to submit a proper recommendation, leads to worse overall response, and is unnecessary when everyone else is asking for a uploaded letter. #academia
