Two stills from Andrzej Żuławski’s film Szamanka show the two main characters, Michał and the Italian, standing face to face. Both stills contain subtitles translating Michał’s dialogue. In the first, he says ‘Spit,’ commanding her to spit on his mouth. In the second, he tells her to ‘Lick it,’ as a string of saliva connects their lips.
