Every game community has someone who's able to get people interested in their content despite having no knowledge of the game. I think AsumSaus is a great example of this. I'm looking forward to the day someone figures it out. That will be a golden era of content for splatoon.

The difference is two-fold. The first is time, Chara and Dude have been around for a long time posting very consistently. The other aspect is something no one in the community has done. Getting people outside the community interested in your content. Anyone who can do both will easily hit 100K+
