Launch safety corridors disrupt air traffic, and I suspect the nighttime only restriction is due to the larger impact of daytime launches. We’ll see if this changes this week, as the political wrangling continues. aviationweek.com/space/blue-o...

EscaPADE is actually launching outside the usual Mars launch window, and will instead demonstrate the capability to head to the Sun-Earth L2 point and loiter until departure in late 2026.

EscaPADE is actually launching outside the usual Mars launch window, and will instead demonstrate the capability to head to the Sun-Earth L2 point and loiter until departure in late 2026.

Word from today's pre-launch brief is, the status of EscaPADE should it slip to Monday is undefined, though Blue Origin has applied for an exception to the FAA daytime launch hiatus.

The impact is already rippling through the already busy November launch schedule... I see, for example, that the SpaceX Transporter-15 launch slated for Tuesday now shows 'NET November' - nextspaceflight.com/launches/

Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon reaches aphelion 220 AU distant, 580 years from now. The comet had its orbit shorted by two centuries on this current passage, down to ~1160 years.

AR 4274 exhibits a twisted magnetic field, crackling with energy. NOAA places the chance of the group kicking off another X-class flare at 35%, not bad odds. The group is now large enough to see with eclipse glasses easy… no magnification needed. It could be an exciting spaceweather weekend.
