Just a dude who likes to take pictures of rockets and space.
Venus, Saturn, and the Moon looked pretty happy this morning

2 Falcon 9 launches. 2 RTLS landings. 1 cloudy night that nearly ruined this composition.

And the sun sets on Firefly's Blue Ghost. It's not expected to survive the 2 week long lunar night, but stranger things have happened!
One of its final pictures sees the Earth, Venus, and the Sun before it dips below the Moon's horizon.

Recently upgraded from a Canon 550d (2010) to a Canon 200d (2017). The low light performance improvement has been fantastic!

I took some photos from a 2022 shoot of the Moon with Mars, stacked it and reprocessed it. I was so much happier when I saw how much more detail I could get out of the same data.

My final stacked image of last week's Blood Moon

Getting a little artsy with it. Yesterday's lunar eclipse combined with last year's solar eclipse. Instantly one of my favorite pieces

In case you were wondering what the eclipse looked like from the lunar surface, Blue Ghost has you covered!

A quick and dirty edit of the beautiful blood moon. If you're awake in North America, go outside NOW!

It appears to be AI generated but it got quite the chuckle out of me nonetheless. Poor Crew 10 astronauts stranded on Earth

IM-2 Mission has concluded. Athena is on her side her batteries have depleted. They are not expecting the solar panels to be able to recharge them. We got at least one picture from the landing.

Hopefully third time's the charge for Intuitive Machines

Capping off a busy day of Space operations, the X37-B touched down in Vandenberg after spending 433 days on orbit. OTV-7 launched from the KSC on December 28, 2023 on a Falcon Heavy. The launch is still one of my favorites that I've seen in-person and was by far the most photogenic

Somewhere in this photo is Blue Ghost orbiting the Moon. In a few hours, it'll touch down. Make sure to set your alarms! NASA and Firefly will be streaming the 3:34am EST landing.

How about a double header? The second Falcon 9 launch of the day. This one delivering another batch of Starlink satellites

And with that, IM-2's journey to the Moon has begun! Best of luck!

In just a few hours, there will be yet another lunar lander en route to the Moon. IM-2 is set to launch at 7:16pm from Cape Canaveral and should land on the Moon next week.
My favorite thing about the mission is that it will capture the March 14th lunar eclipse from the Moon's perspective!

Let's give Bluesky a shot. I post my own pictures of space and rockets. Follow along if that interests you!

Here is an untracked photo of the Orion Nebula taken a couple of weeks ago. I'll probably post my favorites over the next few days and you can check out the rest here:
