a clear distinction between user intents would be harder to ignore than some "no ai" rule hidden in pages of TOS nobody reads, imo
March 16, 2025 at 9:22 PM
ignore the noise; this is great. dunno why people are so preoccupied with what choices others would make

yknow, if you didn't wanna have a conversation you coulda just said so. my dms are open. I'm not asking you to debate me, n seeing as your dms *weren't* open, it's not like I could've brought it up elsewhere. I wanted to know ur thoughts, so chill with the "I don't expect you to read this" stuff

in this case i think ppl saw tax credits as a temporary fix, which is ehhhhhh but its not an insurmountable thing to address. I think we could totally find another way to deliver CTC benefits without doing CTC forever
December 10, 2024 at 6:04 AM
you obv think the CTC reduced child poverty, but they obv don't. reducing their position to just *advocating for child poverty*, while its fair, it alienates people who you could otherwise reach by addressing their concerns. we don't need to give into their policies to address their concerns
December 10, 2024 at 6:02 AM
what were their complaints?
December 10, 2024 at 5:58 AM
(I would certainly hope the average american opposes child poverty 💀 )
December 10, 2024 at 5:53 AM
I think that's a messaging failure more than an indicator of people's core beliefs
December 10, 2024 at 5:51 AM
the average american is incredibly detached from the top 0.1%, it's not that hard to make them recognize inequality
December 10, 2024 at 5:50 AM
for all they're fucking worth. and making a *show* out of it. It won't fix our government spending, but it'll give a decent bump in public program funding.
December 10, 2024 at 5:49 AM
the public will think to themselves "well what do I need the government for?". I see how the government must prop up its own military for the time being, but I don't see why we should base the rest of our policy on tax breaks and tax credits. instead, we should be milking the rich
