Every day i have to eat tomatoes. It's been the best year for tomatoes. Oh also for cucumbers, courgette, strawberries, basil, and did i mention apples? Our food bills are right down.

To be honest I learned quite a bit off my dad. His teachings resulted in a resounding no to weeding and digging and raises beds and the need to experiment, just 'cause I am stroppy and wouldn't accept the line that his dad, grandad and great grandad have gardend a particular way.

My dad would turn in his grave. No correct spacing between plants, no straight rows, too many different things in one bed, everything is crowded, veg and flowers mixed up, what an abomination! #gardening #growyourown #nodig #raisedbeds #grief

I am pleased how the bottom of the garden turned out. I nearly gave up veg gardening. It is a difficult patch with horsetail and bindweed. These ridiculously high raised beds work so well i do not need to spend as much time weeding. #gardening #growyourown

Border Collies r incredibly judgemental, far too energetic & smart, looking for jobs. Get used to walking for miles. Would happily herd children for u. Labrador's exitement levels is ridiculous, terribly nosy & clumsy. U will enjoy walks. Avoid muddly puddles.
