Decarbonizing the grid with Camus Energy. CEO, founder, dog appreciator. Ex-Google. I know it gets dark, but there's always a light.
I have a marble veneer fireplace. Someday it'll get replaced, it's ugly as hell.

I can't help but think that all this is an overreaction to a few wealthy men finding out that people don't like them very much.

1) Fossil fuel
Still no peak. Emissions are projected to increase by 1.1% in 2025, reaching 38.1 GtCO2. An all time high.

I have one like that who is a mini husky mix rescue. Beautiful dog, no thoughts, head empty. He likes cuddles and eating bees.

Valid! But they were also pretty well paid for it.

So close to getting it, but from the opposite direction. The GOP turned *towards* fossil fuel interests and leaned into climate delay during this window, leaving the sensible "actually wind and solar is both cleaner and cheaper" path looking radical by comparison.

Kind of looks like a surprised chicken dog?

I heard this very explicitly from the older white protestors around me - "It's safer for us because we're citizens, white, older - so it's on us to show up for everyone else." I found that really moving.

We didn't have health insurance for the first few years I lived in the US because my husband had had (and beaten) cancer, and the only policy options available were catastrophic coverage at >$2k/mo.
