The second method require CSP, as I'd be using the "color gradient map" filter to edit the texture.

Unforntunately, I forgot to save a .sai2 file to try and showcase my process so instead I'm going to improvise lol

For this texture, I didn't need much layers, sinc it was just a pattern
Sometimes, I do step 4 from once to multiple times to lighten or darken the texture if by adjusting the colored layers I still couldn't achieve what I wanted.

I used two methods for editing the textures, the first one using layer modes from sai2
First, I set a colored pixel "dot" on a layer, so i could adjust my other layers until i would no longer see it.

I choosed all my colors from Xingchen/Stardust official art, and used layer effects like multiply, screen, soft light and overlay to "create" some colors and still make them fit
The same goes for skin, eye and hair textures, all color picked from the ref !

Then !!
I traced over the model forms, before putting the colors.
I "cut" this color sheet in folder layers, so I could turn on and off bit by bit to see how the design would looks like
Last image is made with a layer filled with white and set to Saturation, so I could see the values

First !!!
I tooks screenshots of the model without the head with their texture, so that when I went to sai2, i could make sure the transparent bits would still work
