A chance to stun with every strike is crazy lol. As fun as this sounds I feel like I prefer the modern version better. That being said, the higher unarmed damage sounds nice.

But yeah, the main problem I have with this post is it gives off the idea of 'this representation of asian culture is bad, so let's remove the representation of asian culture as a whole' instead of leaning into fixing its representation.

Again not saying the orientalism aspect is not problematic, but it did make me more excited about D&D when I decided to try it because it was very Chinese-coded. Basically, don't remove Monk, but make it less about wuxia and emphasize that Monks can be anything? Yes.

I don't necessarily agree as a Singaporean myself. I agree the orienralism aspect should be removed and I'm thankful they're trying that for 2024, but I still like the aspect of asian culture being represented in some aspects at the end. Definitely don't play a monk as a stereotype of asians though.
