Mini game? I think the majority of my hours into that game was spent blitzing.

I had plenty of authority figures that would warn against time spent with video games. I thought they just didn't get it since games were rather new. While I have a different perspective gaming all my life, I wonder if it's the same parental feeling.

As a parent, I feel a slight responsibility to help my children avoid the feeling of wasted youth, especially when what they play seems even more ephemeral.

I certainly have nostalgia and enjoyed that sega game but when I take a step back and think at the hour count with adult eyes it lets a bit of regret set in.

What's interesting - there are still worthless time traps kids get caught up into with a lot of the user created stuff in Fortnite and Roblox.

Today there is such a wide breadth of games available to kids, they don't look twice at a sports game if it doesn't appeal to them.
