Since it's Halloween, and I figured that I'd post here eventually, I decided to make some Welcome Home-related doodles (that quickly turned from one doodle into a full page of art!) Funny how inspiration works!

With the most recent website update featuring Poppy being subjected to the darkness, I wanted to draw her interacting with Eddie (who's already been through this nonsense before). This is based on the "First Time" meme. Poppy, who is naturally terrified of what is going on around her, is met by Eddie Dear. He seems tired, but still chooses to be nonchalant about the situation and greets Poppy warmly. He asks her, "First time?. This only makes Poppy even more confused and nervous than she already is. All she can muster as a reply to Eddie is, "Huh?" These two did NOT deserve what happened to them. They were just warm rays of sunshine whose light ended up being suppressed by the darkness around them. It makes me nervous about who could be next.... This was the first doodle I worked on. The inspiration for it was actually based on the commercial for the Happy Haunting Wally Darling plushie! While in the middle of trick-or-treating, Wally and Barnaby suddenly encounter a mysterious being. This turns out to be the Happy Haunting Wally Darling plushie, which greets the two friends by saying "Well, aren't you two just ADORABLE?" The two besties, Julie Joyful and Frank Frankly, are doing their best poses so that they can both match the theme of the spooky season!
