Anyways, that’s my gibberish for the night. I really like this idea, buttttt it’s all dependent on the way HZ ends 😂 With my luck, it’ll end in a way where this becomes completely impossible LOL I can dream, tho.

I feel like Amethio especially would have hang ups about it. Probably a lot of self-doubt and not getting what he’s feeling. It’d be fun if every chapter changed perspectives between them so you can see what’s going through each of their heads, but only half the time.

And I obviously want to explore them ultimately falling in love and realizing their own feelings and the other person’s feelings and the messiness and awkwardness that comes with being a teenager in love—especially when having such a weird, tense, loaded history.

I think the obvious, more visible plot line would be Liko trying to get Amethio to open up some more, but I like the idea of there being an underlying plot line that progresses a lot more slowly of Amethio wanting to do the same for her in a different way.

And then with Liko I feel like the anime talks a lot about how she bottles up her feelings and puts others first, but never actually do anything with that. I would want to do something with that. Especially if I could find a way to have her processing everything that happened in the events of HZ.

I want them walking the same path to achieve a common goal, side-by-side, the way the original explorers did… Amethio who has always been deeply lonely and wanting approval getting used to being with someone all the time who treats him like a friend/an equal. As well as learning to have fun.

I keep thinking about Liko and Amethio going on an adventure together post-canon… Whenever HZ ends, I hope it ends in a way that leaves room for me to headcanon this 🙂‍↕️ I would write fic about this….
