Ginger ale should burn. Canada Dry came out with Ginger Ale Bold some years ago...that should have been default Canada Dry. Bold should hurt to drink.

Driving in the rain on its own is fine. It's sharing the road with people who are poor drivers that's scary. Mixed with the infrastructure not built for heavy rain. Add in the dry weather we have- lots of areas are prone to flash flooding, especially in areas with burn scars. It is what it is. Lol
