Today for my church’s joint Wednesdays in Lent services with three other congregations, I offered the devotion and wore this shirt. I told them I was wearing the title of my sermon. In Lent we focus on the ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. We follow a savior who got in good trouble.

My #altarscape for Baptism of the Lord Sunday, Jan. 12. Blue & white fabric, blue water in vases. We symbolically remembered our baptisms and were thankful to be part of this worship community. When we came forward to touch the water in the font, everybody could take a piece of sea glass with them.

My altarscape from Epiphany Sunday, January 5th. Gold and white. The center piece, made of gold ornaments, glows as a star guiding the magi. Each member of my congregation received a Star Word to guide them in their spiritual journey this coming year.
