Wasn't there a lawsuit or something? A Plan to End Homelessness working group (that Merriman refused to attend) involving the province? Encampments on the legislature lawn? Endless meetings?

Currently, the contract with the Red Sox ownership secures City and private money for Currie Field. The Red Sox entered into a similar deal CoR has with Regina Football and Liebel Field, which works well.

All of our recreation amenities "lose" money, in that they can only function as public assets financed through tax and some fees.

Question is: should a stadium be considered the same kind of public good and asset?

We also did a comprehensive in-house analysis of baseball specifically on the Catalyst Committee. It kept coming up negative. Instead, the proposal was to upgrade the existing facility, which certainly needs some love.
