If they left at midday-ish as they should have done on Sunday, it would have been dark before they even got to the border. The sun sets at 4pm in Kelso. The driving time from Inkberrow (allegedly the inspiration for Ambridge) to Kelso (just over the border) is 5 and a half hours direct. #TheArchers
